Watching With Jesus

"And what I say unto you I say unto all, Watch."  Mark 13:37

Watching is seeing Jesus.

The last thing Jesus said was, "Surely, I come quickly."  (Rev 22:20)  He said, "A little while, and ye shall not see me: and again, a little while, and ye shall see me, because I go to the Father."  (John 16:16)  He said, "Lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world."  (Mt 28:20)

When you look for Jesus, you see Him; when you watch for Him, you watch with Him: "I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in the darkness, but shall have the light of life."  (John 8:12)

We have no choice, we have our orders, we must watch: "And what I say unto you I say unto all, Watch."  (Mark 13:37)

Before Jesus took upon Himself the sin of the world, He said to Peter, James and John in the garden of Gethsemane, "My soul is exceeding sorrowful, even unto death: tarry ye here, and watch with me."  (Mt 26:38)  After they fell asleep, He said to Peter, "What, could ye not watch with me one hour?  Watch and pray, that ye enter not into temptation: the spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak."  (Mt 26:40-41)

"Behold, I come as a thief. Blessed is he that watcheth, and keepeth his garments, lest he walk naked, and they see his shame."  (Rev 16:15)
